NParks’ Pets’ Day Out is back for another day of furry fun this 21st September at HortPark! Held in conjunction once more with their signature monthly event, Gardeners’ Day Out, this second installation is a special Junior Edition, where children can learn more about basic pet care through a series of fun games and activities.

Instil what it means to be a responsible pet owner and prep your kids for their future furry family member through the Petzmania programme! Otherwise, let your children try their hand at becoming a junior vet, pet groomer, trainer, or scholar for a day – who knows, it might be the start of a fulfilling career.
For the safety of the kids and animals, the Petzmania program is only available for children age 7 to 14. Pre-registration is required.

For pet owners without children, treat your fur baby instead to a whole slew of pet-friendly fun, where competitions and activities, tasty morsels, and stylish pet accessories await.
Event highlights include pet-related talks and workshops by animal experts on topics like grooming and obedience training tips, other fringe activities such as agility competitions, as well as a pet-friendly F&B and retail bazaar where you and your buddy can shop to your hearts’ content!

To top all that off, complimentary health checkups* by Animal & Veterinary Services’ vets and free microchipping* (it usually costs about $50 – $80 at most vet clinics) are also available, and there will be animals up for adoption from various animal welfare groups.

You can also marvel at gorgeous, colourful parrots from BirdCraze and snap pictures with them, while those with green fingers can take part in free garden tours of HortPark and catch demonstrations and workshops on gardening.
Of course, the crowd-favourite plant sale at the Marketplace is not to be missed. Featuring over 90 plant vendors, it’s where you can find unique blooms and goodies such as local organic soaps and coffee. Kid-friendly activities such as storytelling and handicraft sessions will also be available!
