Kitty Couture: Hari Raya Edition

Kitty Couture: Hari Raya Edition

Every Hari Raya Aidilfitri, we see our Muslims friends dressed to the nines in their traditional and fashionable outfits.

Be it a baju kurung or a kebaya, one common aspect that can be seen among most, if not all our Muslims friends is the colour-coordinated outfits with their families. So why not extend this sweet gesture to your furkinds as well? This year, rope in your felines to join in the festive fun and dress them up to celebrate this joyful period with the family as well!

Go all out and dress your feline in a full-on traditional outfit or something as simple as a songkok. Here are some feline fashion inspiration for this Hari Raya!

This kitty is ready for ready for Raya in its traditional Baju Melayu. While cat outfits are not as readily available in pet shops in Singapore, this outfit is from a local based online store, Jessica Marie. Though not exactly an online pet shop, she is known for her made to measure bespoke outfits for both humans and animals! With mostly positive reviews on her Carousell and Facebook page, you can find outfits for both male and female felines.

It’s not hard to see why this cat was dubbed the “most handsome cat in Singapore” by Berita Harian in 2015. Going all out in a Baju Melayu and songkok, this cat is the definition of #rayaready. However, this feline was fortunate enough to have this outfit tailor-made, courtesy of his grandmother (his owner’s mother).

Simple and fashionable, this cat is dressed in a baju Raya from Malaysia based Geli-Geli Kuching. Perfect for those who are looking to dress their cat up without causing much discomfort, especially if this is your feline’s first outfit. Unfortunately, overseas orders are not accepted and due to overwhelming demand, orders have been closed. However, they are planning to explore overseas shipping in the future.

Until then, consider getting outfits for your felines locally or even by hand-making it yourself!

If your cat is ready for Hari Raya, be sure to share your #Rayaready felines with us on our Facebook page!
