Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. With each passing day, you get more frenzied thinking about how you still don’t have a date.
Actually, you know what? No (human) date, no problem. Pets can fulfil your need for love and companionship just as well; and having your pet as your Valentine’s date will be much less of a stressful ordeal.
Here’s how to spend Valentine’s Day with your pet!
Go on a walk
The most obvious activity for dog owners is to take your pooch out on a walk. Make it more exciting by choosing a different route or location. A beach walk, of course, would be the most romantic. You can even write your names inside a heart in the sand. Classic.
Cute brunch date
Singapore is not lacking in its line-up of pet-friendly cafés, with appetising menus to boot. Find one that tickles your fancy and ask your pet out on a date!
Arrange a get-together with your fellow single friends who also have pets! We guarantee it will be a day filled with laughter as you catch up with your friends, and your pets get playful with one another.
Treat your pet
Delight your furry friend by gifting them with new toys, clothes or collar. For a real treat, bring them to the pet store and let them choose the items themselves! If you’d like to have a more personal touch, DIY your gift. Those pupcakes (cupcakes for dogs) you have been meaning to try to bake but never have the time to? Find time on this special day to finally accomplish it!
Get a pet portrait
If you have yet to have your pet professionally photographed, this is an excellent way to celebrate the day with them. Have fun getting creative! It does not have to be Valentine themed just because you are having it done on that day.
Stay in bed all day
Feeling a little sorry for yourself and don’t feel like going anywhere? Stay in your PJs, stay in bed and cuddle your furry friend all day long. Cuddling with another person is comforting, but it is also highly satisfying when your pet snuggles up to you and give a contented grunt.
